'Mayday' is a new player among Japanese Maples, but it comes with impeccable features. This dwarf tree inherited its sculptural branch framework, and closely bunched, layered foliage from its parent, 'Mikawa Yatsubusa' (one of the best rated maples for bonsai work). Its unique feature is its incredible colour; peachy orange new foliage that fades to bright chartreuse green, by summertime, ending the year in a spectacle of orange and red. This sculptured beauty will fit into any garden.
