'Ukigumo' means "Floating Clouds" in Japanese, and this maple has earned the right name! Foliage is thoroughly variegated, emerging pale green with white spots,and a pinkish cast. Some young leaves may be completely white or pink. Foliage may be slightly twisted or undulating, and matures to light green with white variegation. Fall colour is yellow orange. Best sited in a location protected from hot afternoon sun.
