This special selection of Katsura tree was discovered in Germany, where it was named 'Rotfuchs', meaning "Red Fox". True to its name, the new foliage emerges a bright red purple, which darkens over time. Late summer brings on dark blue green tones to the leaves, which eventually turn peachy yellow in autumn. It fits well into smaller gardens, since it is narrower, and slower growing than the species as a whole.
