This fascinating relative of the Olive, is a North American native . An absolute treat in late spring to early summer, when it is draped with loose hanging panicles of fragrant white fringe-like flowers. It is a winner of the Cary Award, for garden worthy plants for New England. Also known as 'Old Man's Beard', or 'Grancy Gray Beard'
