This patented cultivar of the Panicled Hydrangea is an improvement on the species. 'Limelight' is a more compact form of the species, a tough hardy native of China and Japan. Large conical heads of mostly sterile lime green flowers are held upright on sturdy branches. The floral display changes colour over time, achieving tones of creamy white, and dark pink, before drying to beige over the winter months. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit
