This newer cultivar of Hypericum x inodorum, or "St. John's Wort" comes to us from the Netherlands. It is a semi evergreen sub-shrub, that dies back to the ground in colder areas, but reliably returns in the Spring. The lustrous dark blue green foliage acts as an excellent backdrop for loose clusters of bright yellow whiskered flowers in Summer. As the season progresses, the foliage takes on darker bronze red tones, while the flowers are replaced by long lasting deep red berries.
