Although not truly a Gloxinia, this hardy perennial was named for its abundant bright pink flowers that resemble the popular houseplant. A native of southwestern China, it produces umbels of large pink trumpets with a yellow throat, held above a mound of glossy dark green fern-like foliage.

Height: 45 cm to 60 cm
Spread: 30 cm to 45 cm
Soil Requirements: Normal to sandy, well drained soils

Use: Rock gardens, perennial borders, butterfly gardens, container plant, cutting gardens
Flower Colour & Shape: Several large bright pink and yellow, five petalled trumpets, held in an umbel above the foliage. Deadhead to prolong bloom season
Foliage: Coarse dark green lanceolate  compound leaves, form a basal rosette
Benefits: Cut flowers, attracts bees and butterflies, deer and drought resistant
