'Thunder and Lightning' is a dwarf selection of Crimson Scabiosa, and brings a new element to a traditional perennial from central Europe. Wiry branching stems bearing many burgundy red pincushion-like blooms, rise above a mound of grey green foliage edged in white. Ideally suited for dry, moderately fertile soils with excellent drainage.
