'Vivid' is a brightly coloured shorter form of 'Obedient Plant' or 'False Dragonhead', an eastern North American native plant. Upright, many flowered spikes of deep pink inflated tubular flowers begin to appear in mid summer. This display continues into autumn, and provides a welcome food source for butterflies.
