This native of extreme southern Ontario is one of the best oaks to plant for fall colour. Its rapid growth rate, and elegant symmetrical form has made it a popular landscape tree.The glossy dark green leaves have 5 bristle tipped lobes. Fall colour is a dependable russet red to crimson.
