'Greg's Variegated' Red Oak is a rare and fascinating new addition to native shade trees. The rich green foliage is generously spattered with white specks and patches, looking like a galaxy of stars in a deep green sky. The white variegation is more concentrated toward the leaf edges. In autumn, the tree takes on orange yellow overall tones, but is flecked with white, cream, rust and red, creating a real spectacle.
