'Chocolate Ball' is causing some confusion among the horticultural set: is it Sedum rupestre, Sedum hakonense, Sedum poltrichoides or Sedum reflexum? Whatever the case may be, it is a beautiful addition to the sunny garden, with its fine greenish brown needle-like foliage. Not to be outdone by its cousin Angelina, 'Chocolate Ball sends out bright yellow starry blooms in summer, and the foliage turns dazzling red over the winter.
