'Primrose' is a surprising and welcome colour departure as far as traditional Lilacs are concerned. Conical trusses of warm yellow buds open into lightly fragrant, pale creamy yellow single blooms that fade to white. This unique colour combination won it the coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit. This larger cultivar plays well with other colours, and works beautifully as a background shrub.
