The Tamarisk, or "Saltcedar" is a curious, and beautiful shrub. This fast growing native of Europe and Asia would seem to be a Juniper at first glance. Attractive, fine scale-like pale greyish-green foliage that grows on arching slender red barked branches, is appealing on its own. Once flowering begins, all consideration of conifers ends, as it transforms into a veritable cloud of pink froth.
