The three broad white petals, and yellow centres of Trillium grandiflorum, the 'Great White Trillium', are almost instantly recognisable as the Provincial Flower of Ontario. This woodland ephemeral grows quickly in spring, to catch as much sun, before the trees fully leaf out, and goes dormant by mid summer. Vast drifts of these stunning white flowers carpet the ground in deciduous woodlands of Ontario and Quebec. This is perfectly suited for planting below deciduous trees, enjoying early sun, followed by shade. Awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.
