Trillium luteum, the Yellow Trillium, or Yellow Wakerobin is a stunning addition to shady gardens. This beautiful plant adds two new features to the Trillium family, a beautiful light lemony scent, and frequently stunningly mottled leaves. As with all Trilliums, everything is in sets of three. In this case, each stalkless, upright yellow flower is borne directly in the centre of a whorl of rich green leaves, often mottled by varying blotches of silver-green. Trilliums all retreat below ground level by late summer. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit
