Veronica gentianoides is a lesser known member of the genus, that is worthy of more attention. This mat forming perennial is ideally suited for use in rock gardens, as edging in mixed borders or even as a groundcover. Loose racemes of pale blue to almost white flowers rise above the dark foliage in late spring, lasting into early summer. Each small bloom has a greenish yellow centre, and darker blue veining.
